Method

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler (or in the microwave). Take a loaf pan and use a brush to spread the chocolate evenly over the entire inside of the pan. Place the pan in the refrigerator for about an hour, until the chocolate has set.

  2. Take the pan out and repeat the process wherever the layer is thinner. Add a thick layer of chocolate along the edges, which will make it easier to unmold the torrone later.
  3. Now melt the milk chocolate in a double boiler (or in the microwave). Pour the warm chocolate into a bowl, add the Nutella, and stir. Add the chopped hazelnuts and stir until the mixture is smooth and even. Let the chocolate cool.

  4. Pour the chocolate cream into the pan and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Then run a knife carefully all around the edges to let air in between the pan and the chocolate: this air gap is what allows the torrone to come away from the pan.

  5. Turn the Nutella torrone out onto a serving plate, cut it into slices, and serve. Finally, remember to download our App with exclusive content and fewer ads!
