Method

  1. To make the Tuna Mousse, put the drained tuna, the cream cheese, the lemon juice and zest, the anchovies and the capers in the food processor. Pulse until you get a smooth, velvety cream.
  2. Add a few dill fronds, mix well and transfer your Tuna Mousse to an airtight container. Finally, let it rest in the fridge for about half an hour, then use it however you like. Finally, remember to download our App with exclusive content and fewer ads!

Variations and Alternatives

If you like, you can enrich your Tuna Mousse by adding two hard-boiled eggs or some pitted black olives. You can also replace the cream cheese with the same amount of ricotta or robiola (a soft, fresh Italian cheese), or replace the cheese in the recipe with 100 g of softened butter.

Tips

If your Tuna Mousse turns out too thick, you can add a tablespoon of milk to the ingredients. If you use salt-packed capers, we recommend rinsing them and then soaking them in white wine for 5 minutes. Then squeeze them well and add them to the food processor: this will make them less salty.

Storage

Tuna Mousse keeps in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 2 days.
