Method

  1. To make Lardo-Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp in Puff Pastry, first clean the shrimp carefully: remove the shell, the head and, using a toothpick, the black vein inside, which is the intestine. Make sure to leave only the tail intact.
  2. Rinse them carefully under running water, pat them lightly dry with a little paper towel and carefully wrap them in the slices of lardo, one slice per shrimp.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into strips and wrap your shrimp one at a time with the pastry strips, overlapping the pastry slightly with each turn.
  4. Brush everything with a little beaten egg yolk, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and poppy seeds and bake in a preheated oven at 180-200 °C (350-400 °F) for 10-15 minutes, or until nicely golden.
  5. Once ready, take your Lardo-Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp in Puff Pastry out of the oven, let them rest for a few moments and serve hot and crunchy. Finally, remember to download our App with exclusive content and fewer ads!
