The Filled Panettone recipe is really easy to make and lets you put together, in just a few minutes, an indulgent dessert that will wow all your guests. What I like best about sweet Filled Panettone is that you can customize it completely. First of all, you can choose whichever Panettone you like best: one with raisins, one with candied fruit, one with chocolate chips or, to make it even tastier, your own Homemade Panettone. Then you can move on to choosing the Cream. Here I made a Filled Panettone with Chocolate Pastry Cream and Diplomat Cream, but of course you can choose any cream you like. Now let me show you how to make Filled Panettone.Ingredients for 8 people1 PanettoneFor the diplomat cream:4 Egg Yolks100 g of White Sugar40 g of All Purpose Flour500 ml of Milk1/2 of Vanilla Beans250 ml of Heavy Cream50 g of Powdered SugarFor the chocolate pastry cream:1/2 liter of Whole Milk50 g of Heavy Cream7 Egg Yolks20 g of Corn Starch180 g of White Sugar20 g of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder70 g of Dark Chocolate50 g of ButterCopy Ingredients ListOpen in AppMethodTo make the Filled Panettone, start by preparing the Diplomat Cream. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and the vanilla. Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar until frothy. Now add the flour, sifted beforehand, taking care not to form lumps. While you keep stirring, add the hot milk as well. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly. When it comes to a boil, lower the heat and cook for another couple of minutes. Pour everything into a bowl and let it cool, covered with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface. Meanwhile, whip the cream and add the powdered sugar, folding gently from the bottom up. Add this mixture to the previous one and fold gently from the bottom up.Next, make the Chocolate Pastry Cream. Heat the milk with the cream, and meanwhile put the egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl. Whisk them until frothy, then add the sifted cocoa without forming lumps. Add the milk and cream mixture as well and mix well, then cook until you get a thick cream. Meanwhile, melt the butter and melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Take a bowl, combine the previous mixture with the butter and chocolate, and mix well. Let it cool, covered with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface.Take the panettone and cut off the top, then slice it into 6 more layers. Alternating the layers, fill them with the Diplomat Cream and the Chocolate Pastry Cream. Serve the Filled Panettone with a dusting of powdered sugar. If you prefer, you can also fill lots of mini panettoni.TipsTo make your Filled Panettone even more indulgent, I recommend making Homemade Panettone. If you’re putting together a buffet and want to serve the Filled Panettone the way the savory version is served, I recommend leaving an unfilled layer after each filled one. In other words, fill the first layer with the Diplomat Cream, leave the second layer empty, fill the third layer with the Chocolate Pastry Cream, and leave another layer empty. Finally, fill the last layer with both creams.StorageYou can store Filled Panettone in the refrigerator for a couple of days, covered with plastic wrap.Comments ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ × 5 / 5 You need to enable JavaScript to vote Cancel reply Leave a comment
