Spoon desserts, especially when served in a glass in neat layers, are real showstoppers and perfect for ending a meal with family or friends. If you are looking for a tempting recipe, try this Brownie Trifle with Mascarpone Cream, a real treat you won’t be able to resist.

The trifle recipe we are sharing today is made of layers of sweet chocolate brownies alternating with mascarpone cream and raspberries. With their slightly tart flavor, the raspberries are essential to balance the sweetness of the other ingredients. It is fairly simple to make, and you can even prepare it a day ahead, so that at the last minute all you have to do is assemble the dessert in a glass.

Thanks to its sweetness and freshness, this trifle is also a great dessert to serve at the countless dinners with family and friends over the Christmas holidays: since you can make it ahead and it’s already “portioned“, it’s a real time-saving dessert.

Among other easy but really pretty spoon dessert recipes, there are the legendary Molten Chocolate Cakes, the Ricotta Tiramisù and Zuppa Inglese.
