Bombardino is a Winter Drink with a high alcohol content that’s especially served in the ski resorts, where it’s consumed strictly hot to beat the chill of the season after a day in the snow.
Rich and creamy, the Bombardino Recipe has numerous variations, but the one we will look at today is undoubtedly the most classic and involves the use of Eggnog and Brandy to which a generous dose of sweetened whipped cream is added.

A small sin of gluttony with invigorating power, which with the addition of some spices to decorate it before serving, can become a perfect Christmas Cocktail to be enjoyed during evenings during the holiday season and which will manage to warm up even the coldest spirits. 1. To prepare the Bombardino, first whip the cream until stiff with electric whips, adding the sugar in two batches. Then transfer it to the inside of a sac à poche with a wide, starred nozzle and set aside.

  2. Pour the Vov into a small saucepan and heat it for about 5 minutes over medium heat, at which point add the Brandy and turn off the flame. Swirl the saucepan for a few moments so that the two liquors mix and distribute to the glasses. Top with whipped cream and your Bombardino is ready to be enjoyed!

If you wish, you can replace the Brandy with equal amounts of Whiskey or Rum. You can also enrich the Bombardino by serving it with a cinnamon stick, some star anise or a sprinkling of bitter cocoa.

The special feature of Bombardino is precisely that it should be served warm, so always whip the cream before heating the liquors in the saucepan.

The Bombardino should be prepared and served on the spot, so we do not recommend storing it.
